The difference between mono solar cells and poly solar cells

The difference between them for example:

Mono solar cells Module 5BB

1. The conversion efficiency is different:

At present, the photoelectric conversion efficiency of monocrystalline silicon solar cells is about 17%, and the highest is 24%, which is the highest photoelectric conversion efficiency among all types of solar cells. The production process of polycrystalline silicon solar cells is similar to that of monocrystalline silicon solar cells, but the photoelectric conversion efficiency of polycrystalline silicon solar cells is much lower, and the photoelectric conversion efficiency is about 15%.

2. The attenuation rate of power generation is different:

For example, in the first year of photovoltaic power generation, the power generation rate of polysilicon is 98%, and its attenuation rate is 2%. In the second year, the third year and so on, the power generation attenuation rate of polysilicon changes significantly. Compared with monocrystalline silicon cells, the power generation decay rate is always smooth, which is much smoother than that of polycrystalline silicon.

3. The service life is different

The service life of polycrystalline silicon solar cells is also shorter than that of monocrystalline silicon solar cells. Monocrystalline silicon is generally packaged with tempered glass and waterproof resin, so it is durable and has a service life of generally 15 years and a maximum of 25 years. In terms of cost performance, monocrystalline silicon solar cells are slightly better.

Therefore, monocrystalline silicon is widely used in solar cells. High-purity monocrystalline silicon is an important semiconductor material. Today, with the rapid development of photovoltaic technology and micro-miniature semiconductor inverter technology, solar cells produced by using silicon single crystals can directly convert solar energy into light energy, realizing the rapid development of solar energy. The beginning of the green energy revolution.

Features of monocrystalline silicon solar cells:

Solar tempered glassEva Encapsulant Film

1. High photoelectric conversion efficiency and high reliability;

2. Advanced diffusion technology ensures the uniformity of conversion efficiency throughout the chip;

3. Using the advanced PECVD film forming technology, the dark blue silicon nitride anti-reflection film is plated on the surface of the battery, and the color is uniform and beautiful;

4. Apply high quality metal paste to make back field and electrodes to ensure good electrical conductivity.
